Animated Twitch emotes from a clip, video or GIF

Upload a clip from your stream, a video, a GIF or a photo — or paste a Twitch, YouTube or TikTok link. AI removes the background, you add an outline or text, and get an animated emote that fits Twitch, Kick and 7TV: just upload it to your channel.

No video of your own? Find a GIF on GIPHY ↗ — save it and upload it here.

By uploading a video you agree that we keep it and the finished stickers for up to 7 days to improve the service, then delete them (sooner on request to support@vidsticker.com). Visits are counted by Yandex Metrica (cookies and a recording of actions on the page, without uploaded videos).

What you get

Static emote A 112×112 PNG with a transparent background: the first frame of the clip, or your photo.
A clean cut-out AI removes the background, so the emote reads in both the light and the dark chat theme. Add a white outline to make it pop.

Questions and answers

What size should a Twitch emote be?

Twitch shows emotes at 28, 56 and 112 pixels. With automatic resizing, one square image from 112×112 to 4096×4096 and up to 1 MB is enough; an animated emote is a GIF with up to 60 frames. Our GIF is 112×112 and meets these limits out of the box. All Twitch emote limits

Can I make an emote from a stream clip?

Yes — paste a link to the Twitch clip or upload the downloaded video, then pick the best 1–3 seconds on the frame strip.

Who can upload animated emotes?

On Twitch — all monetized streamers, with more slots for Affiliates and Partners. On Kick, every channel can have up to 60 emotes of its own. On 7TV anyone can upload, but public emotes are reviewed, and in chat they show for viewers with the 7TV extension.

Why GIF and not APNG?

Twitch takes animated emotes only as GIF. A GIF pixel is either transparent or opaque, but at 112 px a jagged edge is hardly noticeable.

Why does my emote have fewer frames than the video?

Twitch allows up to 60 frames, so a 3-second clip plays at up to 20 frames per second; to fit 1 MB we may lower the frame rate further. Shorter clips and calmer motion look smoother.

Is it free?

Yes, with no watermark and no ads. Without signing in you can make 5 emotes a day; signing in removes the limit.

Can I make Discord emoji too?

Yes — on our Discord page: an animated 128×128 emoji and a 320×320 sticker. And the main editor makes video stickers for Telegram.
